Cakes

Cakes make me happy…very happy. I love the whole concept of designing a cake, baking it, decorating it and of course, devouring it. But each time I finish making an elaborately designed cake (think 3 hours past midnight, exhausted, back, hands and legs aching, alone in a war zone of a kitchen), I tell myself I would never do another one again…till the next day..:). Waking up to a beautiful cake, and just one look at the recipient’s joyful face, their eyes filled with amazement, hearing their honest “Wow!”s and the ” I love it!”s on seeing the cake, makes it all worth it. And that keeps me going.

My medium of choice for decorating cakes is Fondant. I love the neat, clean appearance of fondant-covered cakes, and the infinite possibilities it provides for decorating a cake. And my favorite cake?…why, chocolate cake, of course!
